Over 350 Tech Jobs Cut In Bay Area
Several Bay Area tech companies have disclosed plans to cut dozens of jobs.
NAPA, CA — Several Bay Area tech companies have disclosed plans to cut more than 350 jobs collectively in recent weeks.
Advanced Pressure Technology will shutter its Napa facility, eliminating 237 jobs Dec. 1, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state.
“A significant portion of AP Tech’s customer base is outside of the U.S., where tariffs and shifting global trade policies continue to impact pricing and order volumes,” the company stated in its WARN letter, The Mercury News reported.

AP Tech makes products used by tech firms and will move the work being done in Napa to Indiana, where its parent company is based, with AP Tech noting that “the cost of maintaining the facility in California has remained higher than can be supported,” according to the News.
Other recently disclosed tech job cuts include 50 layoffs at Google expected Nov. 9 in Sunnyvale and 82 set for Nov. 21 by SAP America Inc. in Palo Alto, the state's WARN report said.
