POLICE: Spousal Abuse, Drug Possession, Assault, More

A 30-year-old Napa woman was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, assault, malicious mischief and malicious damage to a cell phone after an alleged confrontation with an ex-partner.

Lourdes Rodriguez was taken into custody just after 7 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Sonoma Street in Napa.

Police said the incident began whn Napa Police officers responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Sonoma Street Sunday evening for a report of a subject with a knife.

Rodriguez had been disarmed prior to law enforcement arriving on scene, police said.

Officers spoke with the victim, Rodrigues’s ex-boyfriend, with whom she had a former co-habitating relationship.

Police allege Rodriguez had arrived at his home to confront him and his friends.

During their conversation, she allegedly pulled out a kitchen knife and threatened him. The victim was able to get the knife away from Rodriguez and threw it over the fence, but as he was doing this he received minor knife wounds to his hands and stomach area, police said.

He attempted to call 911 on his cell phone. She grabbed the phone from him, threw it on the ground damaging it, police said. Rodriguez was arrested, transported and booked at Napa County Department of Corrections.

A 35-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of meth and cocaine possession, vehicle code violations and DUI.

Miguel Rios was taken into custody at about 5 p.m. Sunday on Hwy. 221 in front of Napa Valley College.

Napa Police officers said they stopped Rios driving his black Cadillac Escalade on Hwy. 221 in front of Napa Valley College for vehicle code violations.

Rios was verbally identified and is unlicensed, police said. Rios allegedly admitted to drinking beer and an open bottle of Modelo beer was seen on the rear floorboard area, police said.

Rios performed a field sobriety test unsatisfactorily.  He was arrested.

His vehicle was searched incident to arrest, police said. Several baggies of suspected cocaine and one baggie of suspected methamphetamine were located and seized from the dashboard compartment beneath the radio, police said.

Rios was arrested and booked at NCDC.

A 46-year-old Napa man was arrested Monday on suspicion of spousal abuse.

David Hutton was taken into custody at 6:45 p.m. at Kentucky Fried Chicken Parking Lot, 295 Soscol Ave., Napa.

 Napa Police officers said they were dispatched to the Kentucky Fried Chicken parking lot on Soscol Avenue for a report of a disturbance in a vehicle.

Contact was made with the people involved.

The female victim told an officer her boyfriend; Hutton, has a history of physical abuse against her.

She alleged that while driving back from Palo Alto to Napa on july 31, he had struck her in the face causing a visible injury, police said.

She had taken a photograph of her injury with her cell phone. She showed officers this picture. She also told the officers that about one week ago, Hutton had grabbed her by the back of the head and shoved her head into a bathroom door at their residence in the 1000 block of Kansas Avenue, police said.

The victim still had visible injuries from that incident, police said.

Hutton was arrested, transported and booked at Napa County Department of Corrections.

Summary: Officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy on Imola Ave to contact the victim who was reporting she had been assaulted by her husband. The victim was contacted and said she had been punched and pushed earlier that night by her husband near the 200 Block of Coombs Street. Officers responded to the victim’s residence (3900 block of Solano Ave) and located her husband; suspect (Jose Jorge Bautista DOB 8-3-82). Jose was arrested, transported and booked into NCDC.
