Pregnant Mom Was Killed By Fiancé, Leaves Behind Young Children: Reports

Hailey Yvonne Privett was pregnant with twins when she was killed over the weekend in Napa, reports said.

NAPA, CA — A 33-year-old woman who was killed over the weekend in Napa died at the hands of her fiancé and was pregnant with his twins at the time, according to reports.

Officers responded around 10:30 a.m. Sunday to the 4300 block of Dale Drive and found a woman who was later pronounced dead, police said.

Family and authorities confirmed that the woman was Napa resident Hailey Yvonne Privett, according to The Press Democrat.

Charged in her killing is 40-year-old Ernie Victor Solis of Napa, who was located by police around 11 p.m. Monday in Fairfield, arrested and booked into Napa County jail on charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence with injury, according to police.

Privett was the mother of two young girls she had adopted and was in the process of adopting a boy when she died, the Napa Valley Register reported, adding a relative also said Privett was pregnant with twins.

“Hailey was a source of strength, love, and laughter. She worked tirelessly to provide a safe, loving home for her children and gave them everything she could, even on her hardest days,” according to a GoFundMe started to collect donations to pay for the cost of Privett’s funeral and support her children.

“Her loss is not only a heartbreak to all who knew her, but also a life-changing shift for her kids who must now navigate the world without their mother’s care and guidance.”

Solis has been arrested almost a dozen times in the last 20 years, the Napa Valley Register reported.
