NAPA, CA — Students at Napa High School were ordered to shelter in place Monday when the Napa Fire Department received reports there may be radiation on the campus.

Personnel with the Napa Fire Department responded to Napa High School and the Napa Valley Unified School District offices at 2475 and 2425 Jefferson St. when a third-party monitoring app detected radiation in a cordoned-off area along Kennedy Way — a road that passes through the Napa High School campus.

No radiation was detected through Napa Fire’s monitoring tools. Additional resources from Napa County Environmental Health were brought in and no radiation was detected through their investigation, either the Napa Fire Department said.
