NAPA COUNTY, CA—The Napa County Board of Supervisors confirmed appointments Tuesday for vacancies on two county commissions.

The council advises the chief probation officer on proposed expenditures for funds provided under the Comprehensive Youth Services Act; develops and submits a Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan to the Board of Supervisors; and develops ways to monitor expenditures for and evaluate the effectiveness of services and programs funded under the Comprehensive Youth Services Act and any other juvenile justice expenditures as the Board of Supervisors may direct.

Juan Pablo Torres-Padilla will serve on the Unincorporated Napa Valley Tourism Improvement District Governing Committee through June 30, 2028. The committee oversees the expenditure of NVTID funds for the benefit of lodging businesses in each jurisdiction. The committee is made up of seven members: one member of the Board of Supervisors, one member of Napa Valley Vintners, three representing the top five revenue-generating lodging businesses, one representing the minority revenue-generating lodging businesses, and one person appointed by the county executive officer.
Board and commission appointments are made throughout the year, depending on vacancies. There are currently 13 openings listed on the Napa County Committees and Commissions web page.
