NAPA VALLEY, CA — It's that time of year in Napa County — and we're not talking about the holiday season.

Instead, property owners are reminded that the first installment of property taxes becomes delinquent if not paid by Wednesday (Dec. 10, 2025) and the second installment will be delinquent if not paid by April 10, 2026.

Late payments will incur a 10 percent penalty. In addition, an administrative cost will be added on late second installment payments, according to the county.

Mail payments early so that the envelope is postmarked before the delinquent date. A postmark date and time is acceptable proof of timely payment in Napa County.

Mailed-in payments should be addressed to the appropriate address with the required information including an APN number. Check with the Treasurer's office for more information.

To make payments by telephone, call 1-855-627-2121. The payment processing company charges a 2.32 percent transaction fee for credit or debit card payments, but no transaction fee for E-check payments.

Not receiving a bill does not exempt property owners from payment or penalties, according to the county.
