Triathlon Event To Close Roads In Napa Area This Weekend
A partial road closure takes place in Napa County from 7 am-midnight this Saturday and from 7 am-2 pm Sunday, due to a triathlon event.

NAPA VALLEY, CA -- There will be a series of road closures in and around Napa this weekend due to a triathlon competition, according to Napa County Public Works.
The triathlon event is being held from 7 am to midnight this Saturday, April 8, and from 7 am to 2 pm Sunday, April 9. A partial road closure for the run course on Berryessa-Knoxville Road will be in effect from Chaparral Cove north for 6.55 miles.
The event consists of five competitions, including swim, bike and run segments, originating and finishing at Lake Berryesssa's Chaparral Cove. Three competitions take place on Saturday; the other two are scheduled for Sunday, Public Works says.

There are five distances for the competition with the longest being held on Saturday. The swim course for all five competitions will be staged at Chaparral Cove. The run course for all five events takes place on Berryessa-Knoxville Road.
The bike course on Saturday includes Berryessa-Knoxville, Pope Canyon, Pope Valley Crossroad, Butts Canyon, James Creek, Chiles Pope Valley and Sage Canyon roads. Sunday's bike competitions will use a course which includes Berryess-Knoxville Road going south and turning around at 1.5, 6.2 and 12.4 miles.
