On Saturday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Napa Valley Writers will present Tom Abate, former tech reporter for the Chronicle and journalism instructor at UC Berkeley Extension.
Tom will engage participants in a guided brainstorm to help each one clarify creative goals, understand how storytelling is evolving, and think differently about message, medium, and audience. He has a lot to say about the “attention economy.”
Tom Abate has worked in nearly every medium of communication, including Navy broadcasts, a startup newspaper, writing about science at Stanford, and teaching.

Napa Valley Writers meets at Napa Valley Unitarian Universalists, 1625 Salvador Ave., Napa. Entrance fee is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members and guests.
