Chipotle Mexican Grill Testing New Cauliflower Rice In Orange County
The Newport Beach-based chain will offer its new Mexican cauliflower rice option at participating locations around Orange County.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Chiptole fans in Orange County can now try a new menu item from the fast-casual chain as it begins testing its Mexican cauliflower rice in select locations around the United States.
The Newport Beach-based company will test its new rice alternative at participating restaurants in Arizona, Southern California and Wisconsin for a limited time, Chipotle said in a statement. The new item will be available through June 21.
The Mexican cauliflower rice features cauliflower that has been crumbled into rice grain-sized pieces and seasoned with a blend of spices, including paprika, cumin and garlic.

Nevielle Panthaky, Chiptole's vice president of Culinary, said it was eager to test the new item.
"Our guests crave real, plant-based options, so we developed a new flavor-packed recipe that aligns with our food with integrity standards," Panthaky said.
