Groundbreaking On $25M CareMar Recovery Center Starts At Hoag
Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach celebrated the groundbreaking of the state-of-the-art facility this week.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Hoag celebrated a milestone in their fight against addiction and mental health challenges after the groundbreaking of the CareMar Recovery Center, a state-of-the-art facility intended to transform recovery care in Orange County.
The facility, supported by a $25 million gift from the Pickup and Martin families, embodies Hoag's vision for comprehensive, personalized care for people and families affected by substance abused disorders, according to the hospital.
"Hoag's unique integration between medical services and addiction treatment underscores our commitment to holistic care in addiction treatment," Hoag physician Matthew Reed said in a statement. "Because we take a comprehensive approach to care that addresses co-existing medical conditions, our new facility removes a significant barrier to treatment that is common in other settings."
