UPDATE: 118 Firefighters Battle Blaze at Le Club Gymnastics
One firefighter suffers 2nd-degree burns.
Arson investigators were on the scene as firefighters mopped up a commercial fire at the corner of Superior Street and Cozycroft Avenue in Chatsworth early this morning.
One firefighter suffered 2nd-degree burns to as much as nine percent of his body, including his hands and chest, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said. About 118 others fought the blaze gutting the interior and spreading across the roof. The building, which houses Le Club Gymnastics and other business, also had vacancies for rent.
The injured firefighter was taken to West Hills Hospital where he was treated and released to remain off-duty.

The fire was reported at 12:15 a.m. and was knocked down by by 1:18 a.m., according to Humphrey.
An LAFD helicopter was called to check for embers possibly flying into brush areas and check the high tension wires to make sure they did not catch on fire, Humphrey said.

Crews worked to salvage business records and computer equipment from the office of a gift company, timepiece wholesaler Bey-Berk International, which occupied two involved units. The damage loss estimate was still being calculated.
