2 Small Quakes Rattle Santa Susana Pass

Two small earthquakes rattled the Santa Susana Pass Saturday afternoon.

The United State Geological Survey registered a magnitude 3.2 at 2:57 p.m., and a
magnitude 2.2 quake at the same spot at 3:01 p.m. There were no immediate reports of any damage.

The quakes, recorded on an automated seismograph, were 7 miles West Northwest of Chatsworth and about 2.2 miles down. Residents reported to the USGS that they felt the quake across the region including: West Hills, Northridge, Tarzana, Oak Park, Simi Valley, Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Malibu, Castaic and downtown Los Angeles.
