4 People Hospitalized After Northridge Crash, Rescue Effort

Authorities transferred four people to the hospital after a 3-car collision in Northridge.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Four people were hospitalized after a 3-car crash and rescue effort in Northridge Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred before 8:35 a.m. near 17700 W Plummer St, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Four people were transported to local hospitals: one was in critical condition, one in serious condition, one in moderate and one in fair, authorities said.

Authorities rescued two people trapped in one or multiple vehicles using hydraulic tools, according to LAFD.

Plummer Street was temporarily closed near White Oak Ave. It was not immediately clear when the road would reopen.
