45 MPH Winds May Hit Northridge, Chatsworth Area: NWS
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Northridge and Chatsworth through Thursday afternoon.

NORTHRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — Northridge and Chatsworth will see gusty winds Thursday, according to the National Weather Service for Los Angeles and Oxnard.
The San Fernando Valley will see winds between 15 and 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour, according to NWS. The advisory started Tuesday at 10 p.m. and is expected to last through 12 p.m. Thursday.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects and be extra careful while driving, according to NWS. Drivers should be cautious on the State Route 101, 14 and 126.

The winds could also result in power outages in Northridge and Chatsworth and around the San Fernando Valley.
The Santa Ana wind event will affect nearly all of Los Angeles and Orange counties, according to NWS.
