UPDATE: 3 U.S. College Students Jailed in Cairo Are Flying Home

- UPDATE, 12:27 a.m., Saturday: Two of three American students arrested during a protest in Cairo caught flights out of Egypt early Saturday, and former Porter Ranch resident Derrik Sweeney was scheduled to leave later in the morning, an airport official and an attorney for one of the trio told the Associated Press. CNN is reporting that "the three American college students detained in Cairo since Monday night were released from police custody Friday and were headed to the airport to return to the United States, an attorney for one of the men said."
They will travel on three separate commercial flights to return home, according to Joy Sweeney, the mother of Derrik Sweeney, whose family formerly lived in Porter Ranch.
