Boom! Big Burger Building Battle Begins

The folks over at Burger King, 20838 Devonshire St., are having it their way with two of the other major Chatsworth burger joints shuttered for makeovers.
McDonald's, at 20932 Devonshire St., has not only shut down, but is being torn down to make way for a modern, new McRestaurant with a dual McDrive-through. Construction should take three-to-six months. The nearest McDonald's in Chatsworth is at 9185 De Soto Ave.
However, Carl's Jr., 9861 De Soto Ave., is on a faster track. It closed last Monday as workers stripped the interior and applied a fresh face to the exterior. And according to workers, it should be back in business Friday.

But if you're really Jonesing for an old fashioned hickory burger at an old fashioned drive-in, cruise on over to the Munch Box at 21532 Devonshire St. It's been around since 1956, so long that it is an official city landmark. No need to remodel there.
