Chatsworth Fire Leads To Freeway Delays

A brush fire in Chatsworth halted the state Route 118 Wednesday morning.

CHATSWORTH, CA — Authorities held a three acre Chatsworth fire to three acres Wednesday morning, according to the department.

The fire, dubbed "Canyon Fire," was reported just after 11 a.m. Wednesday morning on the westbound state Route 118, Ronald Reagan Freeway, between Topanga Canyon Boulevard and De Soto Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire's forward motion was stopped just before 12:30 p.m.

The fire started at a half acre and grew to be three acres. The fire was moving slowly, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
