Charles Lloyd And Samara Joy To Perform At The Soraya's Jazz Fest

Joy, the Grammys' 2023 Best New Artist, will play to a sold-out crowd, but you can still stream the concert live on March 26.

NORTHRIDGE, CA – Saxophone legend Charles Lloyd and the Grammys' 2023 Best New Artist Samara Joy will perform at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts this month as part of the Jazz at Naz Festival.

Lloyd, a tenor sax player, bandleader and composer, will use his March 18 performance to mark his 85th birthday. He’ll be accompanied by two of his trios and special guests including guitarist Bill Frisell, pianist Gerald Clayton and double bassist Larry Grenadie.

Tickets start at $36. You can also stream the concert live from home for $19.

On March 26, Joy will perform with The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra in one of her first appearances since winning her first two Grammys in February, for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album. The 23-year-old has earned wide critical acclaim for her work and is noted for her popularity on TikTok.

Tickets are sold out, but you can still buy a live stream pass for $19.
