Corral 54 BBQ Becomes a Retirement Party
Both Councilman Greig Smith and Millie Jones, senior deputy to Supervisor Antonovich, are leaving public service.
The annual ETI Corral 54 equestrian barbecue became a sendoff Tuesday for Councilman Greig Smith and Millie Jones, senior deputy to Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, who are retiring at the end of the month.
There were handshakes, hugs, Cokes and burgers at Mason Park. And Councilman-elect Mitch Englander said his hellos.
Englander, who has already had a formal swearing in by the city clerk, will have a public ceremony, 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25, at the LAPD Devonshire Youth Center, 8721 Wilbur Ave., Northridge, near Wilbur and Parthenia.
