County Officials Search for Suspect in Metro Bus Assault

A Metro bus driver was attacked on Monday and is currently recovering at the home of a relative.

Sheriff’s and Metro officials [today] will ask for the public’s help in capturing a suspect who violently attacked a Metro bus driver in West Hills last week.

The attack happened about 10:35 p.m. on Monday at the corner of Victory and Valley Circle Boulevards, said Metro’s Paul Gonzales.

The driver, a woman, is recovering from the attack at the home of relative, he said.

No additional details about the case will be revealed until the press conference on Monday, when still images of the suspect and be-on-the-lookout posters will be made available.

Metro officials will detail measures being taken or planned to protect drivers from future assaults and otherwise enhance safety, Gonzales said.
