Did You Remember to Turn Your Clocks Forward?

It's that time of year: Daylight Saving starts at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Here in the Golden State, we'll be getting an hour's less sleep this weekend by putting our clocks forward an hour on Sunday morning.

Californians may do it, along with most of the rest of the United States, but our neighbors in Arizona and Hawaii do not–so bear it mind if you need to call friends or family in those states.

Whether Daylight Saving serves any useful purpose is open to debate, but essentially, it's all about conserving energy. If we have an extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day, the argument goes, we will use less fuel and switch on our electric lights later.

But the clock change–or forgetting it–often leads to missed meetings and appointments. While your phone may update the time automatically, remember to manually change the clocks on your walls, in your car, on your microwave, and check that your computer has made the leap. You'll be glad you did.
