DUI Checkpoints Planned This Weekend In The San Fernando Valley
Throughout Super Bowl weekend, the LAPD is planning DUI checkpoints and patrols in the Valley, Harbor Area and more.
NORTHRIDGE, CA — Between now and Super Bowl Sunday, the LAPD will deploy additional officers for saturation patrols and DUI checkpoints aimed at getting intoxicated drivers off the road.
Checkpoints are slated across the city including the Harbor Area, San Fernando Valley and Boyle Heights.
Drivers charged with a first-time DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well
as a suspended license, according to the LAPD.

Thursday, Feb. 8
- DUI checkpoint 6 PM to 11 PM at Pacific Coast Highway and Figueroa Street (Harbor City/Wilmington area)
- DUI checkpoint 6 PM to 11 PM at Whittier Boulevard and Fresno Street (Boyle Heights)
Friday, Feb. 9

- DUI checkpoint 6 PM to 11 PM at Van Nuys Boulevard and Vanowen Street (Van Nuys)
Saturday, Feb. 10
- DUI Saturation Patrol from 4 PM to 12 AM in Hollenbeck Area (Boyle Heights and Lincoln Heights area)
- DUI Saturation Patrol from 6 PM to 2 AM in South Bureau (West Adams, South Los Angeles, Harbor Area)
Sunday, Feb. 11
- DUI Saturation Patrol from 12 PM to 8 PM in Van Nuys Area
