'E.T. Park': Councilmember Lee Moves To Rename Local Park
Councilmember John Lee is trying to rename a Porter Ranch park to match its local nickname, "E.T. Park."

NORTHRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — Councilmember John Lee is attempting to change to name of Porter Ridge Park to its local nickname, "E.T. Park," the Los Angeles Daily News reported.
Lee brought a motion in front of the Los Angeles Board of Recreation and Parks Commissioners to name the park in honor of the movie "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial."
Scenes from the iconic movie were filmed in at the park, and Universal Pictures approved the use of the title for the Porter Ranch Park, the LA Daily News reported.
