Fire Reported Near San Fernando

NORTHRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — A brush fire near San Fernando was spotted from the State Route 118 (Ronald Reagan Freeway) Wednesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol.

The fire was getting worse at 2:18 p.m., according to CHP. The fire was first reported under an overpass at the State Route 118 and Laurel Canyon Boulevard at 2:05 p.m. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the incident.

There was some traffic on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near the fire Wednesday afternoon.
