Graduation Events Kick Off Friday For Cal State Northridge
The class of 2022 will graduate alongside the classes of 2020 and 2021 in a weekend full of graduation events at Cal State Northridge.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — The California State University, Northridge classes of 2022, 2021, 2020 will graduate side by side at a combined ceremony starting Friday.
The university announced the combined ceremony in December coming off of two years of virtual and hybrid graduations.
The weekend will be huge; the class of 2022 alone includes 11,680 students eligible to graduate, according to CSUN. The majority of the weekend will focus on the most recent grads.

Graduates from the the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years have delayed celebrations on Friday morning and afternoon. Graduates from the 2021-2022 school year will celebrate with a series of ceremonies between Friday and Monday, divided by department.
“Commencement is a magical time for our campus community,” CSUN President Erika D. Beck said in a news release. “We celebrate the accomplishments of our students, recognizing their academic achievements and the hard work and determination they invested to complete their degrees. We also salute the families and loved ones who supported our students on their academic journeys. The ingenuity and resilience of our students during these past two years is extraordinary, and we are elated to celebrate this particularly momentous accomplishment in person.”
