Robbery Suspects Could Be Inside Northridge Mall: LAPD

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Los Angeles Police Department units are searching for possible robbery suspects at Northridge Fashion Center.

Residents are advised to avoid the area around the mall, located at 9301 Tampa Avenue, Los Angeles City Councilmember John Lee said on Twitter. It was not immediately clear whether the mall was placed on lockdown.

An unspecified number of robbery suspects entered the mall after a brief pursuit around 2:40 p.m., police told CBS Los Angeles.
