Semi Truck Crash Prompts Multiple Collisions On 118 Freeway

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A semi truck crash prompted multiple other collisions Thursday on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol.

The series of collisions ultimately involved around 5-6 vehicles. It was not immediately clear if there were injuries.

The first crash was reported around 8:58 a.m. on the westbound 118 Freeway near Reseda Blvd between a semi truck and pickup truck, according to CHP. A series of at least two more collisions resulted, blocking multiple freeway lanes around 9:11 a.m.

There was significant traffic Thursday morning on the westbound 118 Freeway between Hayvenhurst Ave and Tampa Ave.
