One Dead After Crash On The State Route 118
One person was killed in a collision on the state Route 118 Friday morning.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — One person died after a two car collision on the state Route 118, Ronald Reagan Freeway, near Mission Hills, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person, who died at a hospital, the CHP reported. It was not immediately clear if there were additional injuries.
The crash prompted an indefinite SigAlert on the westbound state Route 118 to the southbound Interstate 405, the Golden State Freeway, according to CHP.

The collision was initially reported just after 7 a.m. Friday. All traffic was diverted from the westbound state Route 118 to the Interstate 5, Santa Ana Freeway.
There was significant traffic on the westbound state Route 118 from San Fernando Road to the state Route 405.
