Thank You: 10,000 Care Packages To Be Sent To Deployed Military
Operation Gratitude will assemble 10,000 care packages in Chatsworth for deployed service members.

NORTHRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — Volunteers will assemble 10,000 care packages in Chatsworth Saturday to be sent to American military personnel deployed around the world.
Saturday's event was organized by Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit focused on creating hands-on volunteer opportunities to show support for American service members. The organization hosts assembly events year-round, but Saturdays event will the first of 2022, according to the organization.
The assembly event will take place at 9409 Owensmouth Avenue in Chatsworth from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., during which volunteers will make packages including much-needed items like hygiene products, along with thank-you letters from volunteers and handmade items.

"It’s part of Operation Gratitude’s overarching missions to convey to service members that Americans nationwide support them and appreciate their incredible sacrifice," the organization wrote in a news release.
The organization held a special assembly day in Chatsworth for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, during which volunteers packed 12,000 care for Los Angeles first responders and military service members.
