Train Strikes, Kills Northridge Man

A 37-year-old man was struck by a train and killed Sunday in Northridge.

The victim was struck just before 8 p.m. in the 8300 block of Louise Avenue, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene, Scott said.

It was not immediately clear if a freight train hit the man or if it was one operated by a transit agency.
