Wind Advisory In Effect For Northridge Friday, Saturday

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Northridge should expect gusts of intense wind from Friday at 3 p.m. until Saturday at 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service for Los Angeles and Oxnard.

Northeast winds will reach between 25 and 35 miles per hour, with gusts up to 65 miles per hour. Winds will be the strongest in the Santa Monica and Santa Susana mountains and in the San Fernando Valley, NWS said.

Residents are advised to avoid being outside around trees and branches, as the wind may knock them down. NWS expects the wind to cause power outages in the area.
