Winners Picked in 'Day of the Horse' Poster Contest

Judges considered hundred of entries from elementary and middle school students.

It was a difficult task, but judges from the considered hundreds of elementary and middle school entries Monday evening in the annual "Day of the Horse" safety poster contest.

And the winner is ... well, wait a moment.

The contest was open to any child in grades K-8 who attends school in Chatsworth, or lives in Chatsworth, or whose parents or grandparents are Chatsworth residents.

And the winner of a ribbon and a trophy which passes from winner to winner every year is... well, hold your horses.

You'll be able to see all the winners on display, 2 p.m., Sunday, April 17, when awards are presented at the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council's free "Day of the Horse" family celebration at , 10861 Andora St.
