2 Teens Arrested For Attempted Murder In Marin County Shooting: Police
Police said they were tipped off when one of the suspects went to the hospital with a stab wound.
NOVATO, CA — Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy Wednesday in Novato in connection with a September shooting after one of the victims stabbed a suspect who then later went to the hospital to treat his stab wound.
On Sept. 1, Novato Police Department officers said they investigated a shooting that had occurred on Third Street near Grant Avenue in downtown Novato.
Two masked males confronted three men, police said, and showed the victims knives and a gun, demanding money and asked them about their gang affiliation, police said.

The suspects were originally described as in their early 20s, dressed in all black and one of them was wearing a red cross-body bag, police said.
A short time after that incident, officers said they received a call from a local hospital after a 16-year-old boy, who had been stabbed, was dropped off at the emergency room.
Police said they identified the 16-year-old as one of the suspects and linked his 17-year-old companion and him to the shooting that had taken place earlier that night.
On Wednesday, police said they assisted detectives in serving an arrest warrant at the 16-year-old boy's home in Novato.
NPD officers said they issued the warrant at a home near San Andreas Circle and San Andreas Drive at around 4:30 p.m on Wednesday.
San Andreas Drive, north of San Marin Drive, was temporarily closed while the operation took place.
At the same time, officers in West Sacramento arrested the 17-year-old at his West Sacramento home, police said.
Both were booked into the Marin County Juvenile Hall for attempted murder, conspiracy, and participation in a criminal street gang.
