• Highway 101 carpool hours to change following commuter uproar (sfchronicle.com) — Highway 101 carpool lane hours between Windsor and the Richardson Bay Bridge are being scaled back after heavy complaints from North Bay drivers, including Novato commuter Carol Meyers whose 12‑mile trip to San Rafael ballooned to an hour. Caltrans and regional agencies are reanalyzing traffic and will recommend new, likely shorter, HOV hours in late January, with changes and new signs expected in February.
