Trade Pumpkins for Compost at Redwood Landfill

You can receive a free bag of Homegrown Compost on Nov. 5 when you recycle up to five pumpkins at the Waste Management  EarthCare Landscape Center at the , just north of Novato. It’s no trick — receive the compost, made in Marin from local food scraps and yard trimmings, and treat your garden to nutritious goodness approved for organic farming. Avoid dumping your pumpkins into the garbage! The limit is one bag of compost per household while supplies last.

Homegrown Compost is listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute for organic farming applications and is made by the Redwood Landfill. Remember to recycle pumpkins in your green cart in communities where food scraps are accepted.
