Grass Fire Reported In Marin County Hills

The fire was first reported at 1:36 p.m. with a moderate rate of spread.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Firefighters responded to a grass fire late Tuesday afternoon in the hills of unincorporated Marin County.

As of 3 p.m., forward progress has been stopped and the fire is now 40% contained, according to CalFire.

CalFire first reported the Franklin Fire at 1:36 p.m. on the 3000 Block of Estero Rd, West of Fallon, unincorporated community in the West Marin County hills.

As of 2:19 p.m. the fire was 8 to 10 acres with a moderate rate of spread with zero percent containment, CalFire reported.

At 1:36 p.m. the vegetation fire was 2 acres at zero percent containment, CalFire reported.
