Intoxicated Man Causes Disturbance Outside Civic Center
Novato man was yelling incoherently and then tried to elude deputies.

A Novato man was arrested Thursday morning after acting irrationally, yelling at people and then running away from deputies who pursued him near the Marin Civic Center, according Marin County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies received a call at 9:45 a.m. about a man on the south side of the Civic Center causing a disturbance. Deputies heard the man yelling unintelligible words and started to approach him, only to watch him try to bolt.
The man, identified as 54-year-old Michael Clelland, was quickly detained but continued to struggle as he was being handcuffed. Once calmed, the tested positive for intoxication and was booked at Marin County Jail on three misdemeanors.
