“The Career Explorer Program is more than just a summer internship — it’s an opportunity to gain insight into the public sector,” said Yanira Gonzalez, a Career Explorer intern with the probation department. “When I first joined the department, my knowledge was limited, but each day I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of integrity, leadership, and, most importantly, community service. I was fortunate to be surrounded by dedicated professionals who not only served as role models but were also open and eager to share their knowledge and experiences with me. Their guidance played a key role in my personal and professional growth throughout the program.”
