Marin Bank Robbery Probed

NOVATO, CA — A Novato bank was robbed over the weekend, and police are asking for the public’s help locating the suspect.

The robbery occurred at around 1 p.m. Saturday at the JP Morgan Chase Bank at 402 Ignacio Boulevard, police said.

A male suspect approached a teller and passed a note expressing his intent to rob the bank, police said.

The suspect escaped with an unspecified amount of stolen cash, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 25 to 35 years old, between f-foot-10 and 6-foot and weighing around 220 pounds, police said.

The suspect was wearing a black hat, a black mask, a black long-sleeve shirt with a checkboard pattern, dark blue jeans, and red/black Nike athletic shoes, police said.

The suspect was last seen running westbound away from the bank, according to police.
