Novato Brush Fire On West Side Of US 101 Contained (UPDATE)
Police are telling residents to continue to stay clear of the area.

NOVATO, CA — A vegetation fire that broke out on the west side of US-101 between San Marin Drive and De Long Avenue Sunday has been contained, police said.
"Novato Police Department is closing streets in the area," a statement from CHP said. "If you are traveling into this area of Novato, please stay alert for responding emergency vehicles and do not attempt to access closed roads."
No evacuations were ordered but police said residents should be prepared if that changes. Police say the fire was on 7th Street and Romar Court and Carmel Court.
