NOVATO, CA –Novato City Councilmember Amy Peele has resigned from her post.

Peele announced her resignation at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, citing “the demands of the position as impactful to her mental and physical health,” city officials said in a statement.

Peele is the second Marin elected official to resign in less than two months. Former Mill Valley City Councilmember Tricia Ossa is other. Ossa cited personal reasons for her decision, noting that she plans to move to Oregon to be closer to family.
