Roadway Reopened After Arrest Warrant Served In Marin County

Police closed down a northern Novato main road to issued an arrest warrant.

NOVATO, CA — Police issued the arrest warrant at a residence in northern Novato Wednesday evening, closing down a road.

The Novato Police Department announced at 5:14 p.m. that San Andreas Drive, north of San Marin Drive, has been reopened.

At around 4:30 p.m., NPD officers said they issued an arrest warrant at a home near San Andreas Circle and San Andreas Drive.

"Our Regional Crisis Response Unit is assisting with this operation, and an increased police presence, including marked and unmarked police vehicles, may be visible in the neighborhood," police said.

San Andreas Drive was temporarily closed while the operation took place.

There is no threat to public safety, police said.

The NPD announced they would provide an update as soon as the operation was complete.
