Third Teen Arrested In Connection With Attempted Murder In North Bay: Police
Police said they discovered another 16-year-old boy was involved in planning the crime.
NOVATO, CA — Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy Wednesday they said helped plan and conceal evidence after a botched robbery ended with a victim being shot in the head in Novato, police said.
On Wednesday, Novato Police Department officers said they had evidence that another Novato teen had assisted the two suspects who attacked three men in downtown Novato on Sept. 1.
Police said they arrested the third suspect, a 16-year-old boy, and booked him into the Marin County Juvenile Hall for aiding and abetting a crime, participating in a criminal street gang and violating probation.

On Sept. 1, NPD officers said they investigated a shooting on Third Street near Grant Avenue in downtown Novato.
Police said two masked males confronted three men, brandishing knives and a gun, demanding money and inquiring about gang affiliation.

Police said that a struggle broke out when the three men tried to flee. One of the victims drew a knife and stabbed a suspect.
One of the suspects fired a shot at the victim, which grazed the side of his head, police said.
Shortly after, officers received a call from a hospital about a 16-year-old stabbing victim. Police identified him and his 17-year-old companion as suspects in the earlier shooting.
On Oct. 1, police served arrest warrants for a 16-year-old at his Novato home near San Andreas Circle and San Andreas Drive, and for a 17-year-old at his West Sacramento home.
Both were booked into the Marin County Juvenile Hall for attempted murder, conspiracy, and participation in a criminal street gang.
