Vegetation Fire At Hamilton Parkway Prompts Road Closures In Novato

NOVATO, CA — Police reopened the roadway in the area of Hamilton Parkway and Todds Road as fire officials worked to contain a vegetation fire behind the Hamilton Skatepark.

There was no threat to homes, though police urged residents to stay out of the area.

The road had been closed Sunday afternoon as crews attempted to get a handle on the blaze, which broke out early Sunday afternoon.

As of 5:30 p.m., there were no evacuations ordered.
