Camp Pendleton 'Sounds Of Freedom' May Rattle Your Oceanside Home

OCEANSIDE, CA — Camp Pendleton is alerting San Diego County, Southwest Riverside County, and Southern Orange County of the potential of live fire noise throughout the week.

"There is live-fire training with high explosive munitions scheduled from September 13-21 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.," they said. "This training may be heard anytime throughout the day or night."

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.

Noise from the event was expected to affect Oceanside, Fallbrook in San Diego County, San Clemente in Orange County, as well as parts of Temecula and the De Luz areas of Riverside County. The most recent schedule for activity was as follows:
