City Of Oceanside Dog Facilities Study Pop Up Meetings Today

The City of Oceanside is exploring sites to locate a place for our furry friends. Drop by today at the Farmer's Market to give your feedback

OCEANSIDE, CA — The City of Oceanside is looking for your input on the perfect spot for a dog park in Oceanside.

After the closure of the San Diego Humane Society Dog Park in Oceanside, the City is evaluating potential sites to locate a play space for our furry friends within an existing/planned City park.

As part of this study, an initial online survey was conducted in June to hear ideas to determine the most favorable location and amenities for a potential future dog park facility. Questions included asking residents for the best locations for Dog Parks including adding to existing parks, what features are most and least important, how far people will travel to a Dog Park in the city, if they'd be willing to pay a fee or volunteer. How many dogs and their size, etc.
