Oceanside Film Festival Kicks Off With Red Carpet Reception At OMA
The 13th Annual Oceanside International Film Festival opens with a Red Carpet reception at the Oceanside Museum of Art on February 20, 2024.

OCEANSIDE, CA - Lights, Camera, Action! It's time to channel your inner theatre critic and join North County film lovers for the opening night of the 13th Annual Oceanside International Film Festival.
This year's festival kicks off at the world-famous Oceanside Museum of Art with a Red Carpet reception, complete with a filmmaker welcome, red-carpet interviews and a networking session for attending guests. The night’s festivities and opening night program will continue at The Brooks Theater.
Running Tuesday, February 20th to Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at The Brooks Theater, OIFF ’24 presents 5 days of cinema, music, art & community both of a local and international flavor.

Opening Night Schedule:
4:30PM – Red Carpet Reception at Oceanside Museum of Art, 704 Pier View Way, Oceanside, CA 92054. Our Red Carpet event will feature a museum-wall screening of nonfiction short, CALIFORNIA LIGHT. One filmmaker’s exploration of natural light in California and its influence on people’s lives.

6:00PM – MOMENTS FROM THE SEEN, PART II
Our opening night program will begin with a celebration of photography from the Rock n’ Roll music scene throughout the ages, presented and discussed by the artists who captured these unforgettable moments in time. Full lineup of speakers to be announced..
7:00PM – A CONVERSATION WITH JASON HILL
In-depth and intimate look into the career and process of accomplished musician, producer and film composer, Jason Hill. Countless fans of his band, LOUIS XIV and the work of Director David Fincher have welcomed Hill’s work into their homes for many years now. With a resume of composition work spanning the original scores to Fincher’s GONE GIRL, MINDHUNTER and short film, VOIR from Netflix anthology, LOVE, DEATH AND ROBOTS, to having collaborated with such musical acts as The New York Dolls, David Bowie, The Killers, Jet and many more, Hill will discuss a monumental career in cinema through the powerful medium of sound.
9:00PM – OPENING NIGHT AFTER PARTY
OIFF’s ’24 Opening Night will end with an After Party in Downtown Oceanside, walking distance from The Brooks Theater. More info on the location of the After Party will release soon.
