Oceanside Make-A-Wish Kid Headed To Disney World

Hudson, a 5-year-old who is battling cancer, just received an invitation to attend Once Upon A Wish Party at Walt Disney World.

OCEANSIDE, CA — An Oceanside girl wished upon a Disney star and now her Make-A-Wish is coming true.

Hudson, a 5-year-old who is battling cancer, just received an invitation to attend Once Upon A Wish Party at Walt Disney World. She received the invitation during her fifth birthday party.

The event, which is just for Make-A-Wish families, takes place during Disney's Week of Wishes in April. Around 50 different princess wishes will be granted as part of a two-day adventure where Make-A-Wish kids will step into their own storybook and become just like the Disney characters who inspired them during their medical journeys.

The event will feature a red-carpet arrival, royal wardrobe fittings, character greetings, a makeover session, a pajama party and fireworks. Culminating in a royal ball, the event will grant Hudson's wish to meet Queen Elsa from Disney's "Frozen."

"Once Upon A Wish Party is Disney magic at its best," said Tajiana Ancora-Brown, director of external affairs at Walt Disney World. "Hundreds of cast members across the company are working together to create happiness for Make-A-Wish families."
