Skout's Honor and Goat Hill Team Up For Pet-Friendly Golf Course
Local pet supplies brand, Skout's Honor, recently donated pet clean-up stations to support Goat Hill Park's dog-friendly golf course.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Patch is celebrating National Pet Day with a spotlight on a recent story from Oceanside-based Skout's Honor.
The fast-growing pet supplies brand known for its life-changing products, has partnered up with Oceanside’s beloved Goat Hill Park Golf Course, to help keep things clean – especially when it comes to picking up after pets.
As an avid golfer, Skout’s Honor Founder Macon Brock began spending time at Goat Hill with friends and colleagues soon after the company moved to Oceanside. Eventually, he met John Ashworth, Goat Hill’s founder, and was inspired by Ashworth’s overall vision for the course. Knowing that “the Goat” offers the extra perk of allowing golfers’ pets to participate in the fun and roam the grounds, Brock put two and two together and thought it would be a great opportunity to extend some neighborly assistance – by donating four ‘pick up after your dog’ waste stations to help maintain and keep the grounds clean and beautiful.

“John has really set a great example for making a positive impact and contributing to the local community – Oceanside is a much better place because of what he’s created,” said Brock, Founder Skout’s Honor. “The least we could do as the ‘new neighbor’ in town was offer something that we do best – which is keeping things clean when it comes to taking care of pets. It’s really a small gesture, but we’re proud to be an Oceanside-based company and hope to continue to play a bigger role in helping the community grow and thrive.”
The four Skout’s Honor-branded waste stations have been installed at various locations around Goat Hill – and have signage that encourages pet parents/golfers to responsibly pick up after their pets.

Skout’s Honor relocated to Oceanside from Irvine in late 2020 to support the explosive growth that it experienced during the pandemic, when millions of people adopted new pets and those who already had them became more focused than ever on the need for everyday products to better care for them. Skout’s new home and HQ is off Oceanic Drive, with more than 55,000 square feet of offices and a warehouse distribution center that services thousands of pet specialty retailers in the US and internationally.
Skout’s Honor is also a pet-friendly office, where on any given day more than a dozen dogs are roaming the halls seeking belly rubs and treats. During the move-in renovations to Skout’s HQ building, Brock even built a small dog park at the entrance, so pets can mingle and play outside when they’re not inside napping, playing or hanging out with the humans.
From powerful plant-based stain and odor solutions to grooming, wellness, flea + tick and training aids – Skout’s Honor has it all when it comes to offering products that pet parents need to keep their homes (and lives) clean, happy and healthy.
Skout’s Honor is proud to be an environmentally and socially conscious company. Through its “Skout’s Paw Pledge”, the company donates a day’s worth of food to rescue animals in need with every bottle sold (Buy a bottle, feed an animal). To date, the company has donated more than 10 million meals to feed animals in need. For more information about Skout’s Honor, its products and company details – visit www.skoutshonor.com.
