Man Struck And Killed By At Least One Vehicle On Freeway In Santa Ana

SANTA ANA, CA — A man was struck and killed by at least one vehicle on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Santa Ana, authorities said Saturday.

The crash occurred about 11:45 p.m. Friday on the southbound freeway, east of First Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A man, wearing a plaid jacket, was seen lying on the right shoulder of the freeway, the CHP said.

A representative from the coroner's office was called to the scene at 12:19 a.m.

There was no other immediate information available.
